As part of St Helens Council’s Arts Council Funded Cultural Hubs Arts in Libraries Programme, young children and their families basked in the summer sunshine as they enjoyed an outdoor theatre performance at Rainhill Library.
Using a concoction of storytelling, puppetry, comedy and original scores, youngsters were treated to a unique showing of The Boggle that tells the tale of strange and mischievous creature that lives and wreaks havoc on a farm.
The Boggle was just one of two sensational shows performed by Lawrence Speck, with Shapeshifter also going down a treat with children and adults alike.
Councillor Jeanie Bell, St Helens Council's Cabinet Member for Public Health and Wellbeing, said: “The shows promised to be a fantastic theatrical experience for all ages and this was certainly the case, topped off with wonderful weather.
“It really is great to see young children appreciate the arts by turning up to support events like this.”
