URGENT UPDATE - Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Unfortunately TAZ Clinic is closed and is likely to remain closed for the next few weeks.

If you're under 18 you can still go to our main Sexual Health Clinic (GUM) in St. Helens Hospital - check the opening times here, but please be aware that these might change at short notice. We'll update you as soon as we know.

If you're over 18 we're asking you to call our main sexual health clinic helpline first, on 01744 646473 to see how we can help you while our services are limited.

Please stay at home if you have Coronavirus symptoms. For up to date information go to https://111.nhs.uk/service/COVID-19/

If you need emergency contraception (morning after pill), check here to see which Pharmacy is closest to you. It's free at all of the places on the list.

Data protection rules are changing: When you share your personal information with services such as TAZ Outreach Team, you have a right to know why we need this information, what we do with it and how we keep it safe.

The rules that tell us how to do this are changing - check out our Privacy Notice for more information.

If you're aged 13 to 19 we can offer you FREE:

  • Contraception (contraceptive pill, implant, injection, patch, coil and condoms) and advice about which type is best for you
  • Emergency Contraception (the Morning After Pill) to prevent unwanted pregnancy (available for up to 5 days after unprotected sex). If TAZ is closed you can get Free Emergency Contraception from these Chemists
  • Pregnancy testing and guidance on your options and next steps if you think you may be pregnant
  • Testing for some sexually transmitted infections, including Chlamydia, Gonorrhoea, HIV and Syphilis (more info about infections here)
  • Information, advice and guidance about ANYTHING to do with sexual health, including questions about relationships, puberty, periods, body changes and growing up. There's no such thing as a silly question!
