Support and information for parents

Sex, Drugs and Risk Control - a free course for parents and carers

(Next date to be confirmed - please check back regularly)

As a parent/carer, your children expect you to have the answers to most things. This is a high expectation to live up to, and can leave you wondering how to respond to some of the more difficult questions.  The TAZ Outreach Team and Young People's Drug and Alcohol Team are inviting you to attend a session to help you to answer questions around relationships, sexual health, drugs and alcohol.

The programme is FREE for parents or carers and aims to:

  • Build your confidence in discussing some of the difficult questions children ask about relationships, sexual health, drugs and alcohol

  • Let you know about local services for young people.

  • Develop and build on your existing knowledge

  • Give you a number of resources to help you discuss these issues with your child.

To book a place or for further information please email your details (name, contact telephone number and age of your child/children) to ypdaat@sthelens.gov.uk or call 01744 677990 and ask for the Young People’s Drug and Alcohol Team.
